Wishaw Blairs Motherwell Chesters Aberdeen Imperial |
Who needs a big red book?I have moved around quite a bit in my life. This section of potted life history includes some of those moves, and covers the period from my entry into the world and follows me through the period during which I was being formally educated. It leaves off just before I come of age as a young professional. I might write some more about what's happened since then. Such as moving to New Zealand. That has changed things quite a bit!Major life changes have roughly corresponded with changes of location. Hence, the first substantial chunk - from birth up to the time I left for junior seminary - happened in my home town of Wishaw. Thereafter, I was in Blairs (which is in Aberdeen) for four years, until it closed. When I left, I went back to live in Wishaw, but opted to go to school in Motherwell, which is more cosmopolitan. Ahem. When I'd finished school, I went to senior seminary - Chesters in Bearsden. Admittedly, I spent most of my time at Glasgow University. When I quit senior seminary, I finished by degree at the University of Aberdeen, and then hopped down to London to do a post-grad at Imperial College. That's a brief summary. Now, if you want the detail, you'll know where to click. Only problem is that to date, I've only covered the years in which I was being educated. Since then, I've been out of education, and in full-time employment. As the years roll by, the ratio of my life that has been spent being educated gets smaller, so I suppose that means I'm getting progressively more thick. Any road up, one day I'll have to get around to filling in some more details of places I worked, and the big move that I made at the arse-end of 2000 which brought me to New Zealand. |
