Not nearly as rude as it sounds.

This is yet another new home for my ever growing collection of photos. It has taken a long time for me to get my A into G and start populating this area of the web site with anything like the regularity that I have always wanted to. However, the purchase of a digital camera combined with the discovery of Picasa (free photo software from Google) has changed all that, although I still need to devote a bit of time to retrofitting a whole load of captions.

The photos you'll find on here are a bit of a mixed bag. I've split them up by decade, apart from the ones that were taken before I was born - I've lumped them all together under vintage - and some of them are really quite old, thanks to contributions from distant and not so distant relatives. For the 70s and 80s, I don't have so many photos, so they're simply grouped by year (and in many cases, there's only one photo per year - although I'm happy to include more if anyone wants to send me any). The 90s and 00s (noughties) are grouped by year, and then by event within that year. I'm sure it will all make sense if you start scouring through them.

Warning! - you may find some of these photos rather shoddily taken, with bad lighting conditions, little understanding of exposure times or composition, and sometimes featuring people who should only ever be on the operational side of a camera (such as myself). If you are of a strong constitution and are a responsible person capable of accepting the consequences of your own actions, feel free to dive on in.
